It's been 6 years since my last review and thought I'd update it. I'm a big foodie and love Chinese food. This has to be one of the best in the area. Food is always fresh, hot and big enough portions. I don't get why other people have been saying the food is bad? Really? I'm a chef myself and the chef here has skill, front of house has always ben polite and friendly. So what if it has an old TV, you're there to get food not watch TV. If I could give this place more stars I would. Love it- Meal type

Ribs were especially nice. Suggest asking for the sauce on the side rather than on the ribs. Tender, crispy and falling off the bone.

Simply quality food, short waits and the service is also top class.
We haven't had a bad dish yet and look forward to our next take away, tomorrow!
Thank you to the wonderful staff, chefs etc at lotus house for being a friendly take away as well as extremely tasty!Called ahead to order, given a pick up time, food was ready for arrival. Food was great for the price. Other reviewers seem angry at waiting around, easily resolved by calling and ordering in advance!

We had 2 takeaways from here Chinese and a curry. Both were lovely yummy would recommend. They don't delivery so you have to collect. Really tasty

Very good. Generous helpings, friendly service, 5 star food hygiene award. Spicy dishes were spicy but not excessive, fresh ginger was excellent. We'll be back.
The beauty of this Chinese take away restaurant is they do not load the meal with salt or mono sodium Glutamate - so you don't experience that dryness in your mouth. The prices are reasonable and they are very polite and helpful.
We are new to the area and decided to have a take away from here. Excellent food, large portions and friendly staff. Will be back again asap. Thank you.
On holiday so fancied a Chinese. Meal for one plus a few extras. Delicious, piping hot with friendly staff. Chow mein and the rice were a wow. Thankyou xxxxxx
